APEC CEO Summit Venue –Suntec Singapore

After the successful conclusion of ABAC Meeting 2009, APEC CEO Summit will open tomorrow. Mr. Zhang Lijun, Chairman of China APEC Development Council will lead Chinese Business Delegation-China APEC Development Council Sub-delegation to attend the Summit. The delegates have already arrived in the Lion City.

2009 marks the 20th anniversary of APEC. In the past 20 years, APEC, as the world’s second largest economy which accounts for approximately 50% of the world’s population, approximately 40% of the world’s GDP, has made great contribution to the development of world economy. This year’s summit is going to take place one year after the global financial crisis occurred, and it is also an important moment for APEC member economies’ recovery from the crisis. During the summit, APEC leaders and business leaders will hold active and constructive consultations on the following topics such as continue to support economic globalization, business facilitation, trade and investment liberalization, anti-trade protectionism and promote the conclusion of the Doha Round and so on.

Meanwhile, Mr. Zhang Lijun, ABAC China representative, will also attend the ABAC Dialogue with APEC leaders on November 14. It is reported that Chinese President Hu Jintao, U.S. President Barack Obama and other leaders of member economies will also attend the dialogue.
